Wedding Shower Weekend Pt. 1

25 days to go! I had an absolutely wonderful wedding shower this weekend (thank you Renee and Amanda!!!) and was so happy that Kirsten, Tia and Nancy were able to fly in for it!! I got SO much done with my bridesmaids here to help me! We picked up Bryanna's dress which needs some altering but otherwise is perfect:
Kirsten and Tia got to meet Baby Ellie:We worked on wedding favors (and got them all done in one night!): and of course had to have a hottub night! We toured DragonRidge so the girls could see it: And had Donald and Denita (and John and Brent) over so the twins could practice their singing for the wedding!

Breakfast at Country Cousins

The day I flew out of town (Saturday morning) Dennis, Nancy, Ty, Kyle and I drove to Centralia to meet up with Larry and Bev (Kyle's aunt and uncle), Jace (his cousin), and Tia and her new boyfriend Drake. We met at a restaurant called Country Cousin (which elicited a lot of jokes) for breakfast. Country Cousin even has a pet rooster.Jace and Larry, the farmer and his wife. Tia the Dalmation with the sunflower head. Group pictures

Suits and Snow

Wednesday after meeting the groom and the groomsmen got their suits on to make sure they all fit right before shipping them down to Nevada in suitcases.
Checking out the shoes... During meeting and after it snowed 3 inches in about as many hours. Snow in Washington is so beautiful on the trees! Ty made Molly a snowman and she plopped down and posed next to it. Then she got curious about it and tried to sniff it. Instead she got a nose full of snow and knocked over the snowman. Whoops! K for Kyle and Kari!

Apartment, Valentine's Day

I just got home after two wonderful weeks in Washington... We moved Kyle into the new apartment (hence the mess) and got some pictures of it: I absolutely love it and can't wait to move in! I flew up on Valentine's Day and Kyle had these beautiful mini-roses waiting for me!

The Shepherd Family Annual Superbowl Weekend

Between being busy and being sick time slips away! I haven't posted St. George and Zion pictures yet (other than the previous Cousin Conspiracy) so a little late but better than never:

One of my favorite things about driving out of Las Vegas into the desert is you usually see some cool planes from the air force base. This time we saw more than we've ever seen at one time before!! St. George About 45 minutes to an hour away from St. George is Zion National Park- One of the most awesome places I have ever been to. It rivals the Grand Canyon in my opinion and it's so massive you could visit it over and over again and always see a new spot. I couldn't capture the magnificence of it in photos. Driving up to it: At this point you begin to feel like a small bug with the mountains towering over you. We followed a road up to a tunnel. The family stopping for photo ops. The tunnel: Built from 1927- 1930. Read more about it here. We stopped at the end of the one-mile tunnel for a hike. "Grandma" and Bryanna pose for a picture. Group picture minus Renee who was taking it! On our hike we went through cool overhangs... Over scary bridges.... And finally almost there! Made it! Dad was brave. Don't look down! Kevin threw some rocks and we counted between 7 and 11 seconds before they hit and echoed in the canyon. Bree was tired and didn't want to look for the picture. The kids all did so well for such a big hike!
