Horses

Kyle loves basketball like I love horses. He's played basketball since school and I used to ride in Washington for several years before we moved. Basketball is alright in my opinion and he doesn't mind horses. It helps us to put it in perspective when we talk in terms of basketball/horses for each other.

Example: I was very disappointed that Big Brown did not win the Belmont. I put it in these terms for Kyle- Imagine that the Sonics had an opportunity to stay in Seattle on one condition: they win the playoffs. It's game 7, the Sonics lose in overtime and have to leave Seattle....

Ok so that's drastic (there's always next year for the Triple Crown) but anyway, on Saturday I brought my study books and sat while he played basketball for a few hours. On the way home we stopped to play with the horses who live at the end of his road.Five of the horses had foals and they were all together in one big pasture. It looks like Kyle is giving the foal a kiss but he's actually blowing in her nose. Horses get to know each other by breathing in each other's nostrils and she kept leaning her head over the fence trying to smell his face.DancingWhen the foals got tired of eating dried grass from the side of the road we started running alongside the fence. The foals got all excited and pranced around for awhile.Mt. Rainier- good view from near Kyle's house
