We really had some good days in Washington weather-wise. It was rainy when we left Kyle's parent's house after mtg but Tacoma was gorgeous.
We went to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and saw reindeer...
ducks (which really amazed Kyle)....
sleepy otters...
puffins...
beluga whales...
a massive walrus...
penguins...
monkeys...
porcupines...
a tiger...
an elephant giving herself a bath...
colorful fish...
sharks...
and a barn owl among other things. The polar bear I was looking forward to seeing was sleeping on a big rock that hid all but his ears and the tip of his back and the tapir wasn't out for some reason but we were still very entertained for a couple of hours.
After the zoo we stopped to enjoy the sun by the water.
